Media Advisory - Coalition of concerned academics and students to hold press conference regarding strike at York University at 9 a.m. tomorrow
TORONTO, May 10, 2018 /CNW/ - As a strike by academic workers at York University moves into its tenth week, a coalition of concerned academic and student organizations will hold a press conference tomorrow at 9 a.m. to raise their concerns about the dispute's impact and to call on the University to return to the table to resolve their dispute with Local 3903 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE 3903).
Representatives from the York University Faculty Association (YUFA), York University Graduate Students' Association (YUGSA), York Federation of Students (YFS) and the Ontario Council of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) will hold their press conference in Room 3312 of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), located at 252 Bloor Street West.
