Media advisory - Commander Joint Task Force Haiti returns home
VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, March 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the homecoming of Brigadier-General Guy Laroche, Commander Joint Task Force Haiti, and of about 100 of his soldiers this Monday in Quebec:
When: Monday, March 22, 2010, 5:30 p.m. (plane set to arrive at 6:00 p.m.) Where: Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport, International Zone
The 850 or so soldiers from Valcartier, comprising the Land Force element of Joint Task Force Haiti, are mostly home after a two month mission. During its deployment, this contingent has offered the Haitian population emergency medical services, engineering expertise, land mobility, as well as security support.
