MEDIA ADVISORY - Commission on Quality Public Services & Tax Fairness to hold hearings & town hall in Oshawa January 18-19
TORONTO, Jan. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - The Commission on Quality Public Services and Tax Fairness, an undertaking by the Public Services Foundation of Canada (PSFC), will hold its fifth in a series of Ontario-wide public hearings and town hall forums in Oshawa Jan. 18-19.
Judy Wasylycia-Leis, Chair of the Commission and a former Member of Parliament, is expected to hear testimony from more than a dozen presenters, including Jim Stanford, economist with the CAW, and Rod Sheppard, president of the Society of Energy Professionals.
The Commission was established in late 2011 and is the PSFC's response to the McGuinty government's Drummond Commission on the overhaul of public services in Ontario.
