Media Advisory - Commission on Quality Public Services & Tax Fairness to hold hearings & town hall in Peterborough January 17-18
TORONTO, Jan. 16, 2012 /CNW/ - The Commission on Quality Public Services and Tax Fairness, an undertaking by the Public Services Foundation of Canada (PSFC), will hold its fourth in a series of Ontario-wide public hearings and town hall forums in Peterborough Jan. 17-18.
More than two dozen presentations are expected to be made to the Chair of the Commission, Judy Wasylycia-Leis, a former Member of Parliament and previously a member of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly.
The Commission was established in late 2011 and is the PSFC's response to the McGuinty government's Drummond Commission on the overhaul of public services in Ontario.
