Media Advisory - Commissioner tables 2008 annual report on private-sector
issues

OTTAWA , Oct. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - The Privacy Commissioner of Canada's 2008 Annual Report to Parliament on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 .

The report will highlight the issue of youth privacy and also looks at 2008 privacy complaint investigations; data breaches; technology and privacy; and international privacy issues.

The report is expected to be tabled at approximately 10 a.m. After tabling, copies will be available to the media through the Parliamentary Press Gallery and on the Privacy Commissioner's website at www.priv.gc.ca.
