Media Advisory - Commissioner's annual report on private-sector privacy issues expected to be tabled in Parliament Français
OTTAWA, June 4, 2012 /CNW/ - The Privacy Commissioner of Canada's 2011 Annual Report on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIEPDA) is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at approximately 10 a.m. ET.
The major theme of this latest annual report is youth privacy. The report also examines other major privacy issues and recent activities of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. It includes summaries of investigations into privacy complaints by Canadians.
Following the tabling, the annual report will be available to the media through the Parliamentary Press Gallery and online at www.priv.gc.ca.
