Media Advisory - Container truck drivers to discuss provincial election
SURREY, BC, April 2, 2017 /CNW/ - Metro Vancouver's container truck drivers will meet today at a joint annual general meeting of the United Truckers' Association (UTA) and Unifor-Vancouver Container Truckers' Association (VCTA).
Mobilizing for the May 9 provincial election will be at the top of a list of issues that will be discussed.
"Under the BC Liberal government, truck drivers have either had to strike or go to court to protect their livelihood," said Gavin McGarrigle, Unifor's BC Area Director. "Hard working truck drivers and their families deserve a government who wants to help them succeed."
