Media Advisory - Cosmos Condos Cancellation Victims Meet to Plan Coordinated Response
Blindsided Buyers to Consider Legal, PR and Financial Options
TORONTO, April 15, 2018 /CNW/ - Since the shocking news of 1,100 condo units being cancelled outright at a major City of Vaughan development one week ago, Cosmos Condo owners have been connecting, mobilizing and considering their options.
Many (600) have connected through joining the Cosmos Condos Terminated - What now? Facebook page, others (190) have joined the public WhatsApp group at 'Cosmos Condo Scam.'
Hundreds are talking, sharing their stories and emotions are running high as the displaced condo buyers plan for battle with the Developer.
"We've accomplished an incredible amount in just over a week," said Jay Reddy, our leader from the Cosmos Buyers Action Committee. "We have 500 signatures on a petition to hold the developer legally accountable and a handful of dedicated real estate professionals backing our cause. We've been extremely disappointed in the form letters from our civic leaders and politicians, especially Vaughan Mayor, Maurizio Bevilacqua who has seemingly written this off as 'buyer beware.'
