Media Advisory - CPSO to Release Report on Tackling the Opioid Public Health

TORONTO, Sept. 7 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, the College of Physicians and Surgeons will release its report Avoiding Abuse, Achieving a Balance: Tackling the Opioid Public Health Crisis. The report contains 31 recommendations directed to government, regulatory authorities, academic institutions and community organizations, which aim to address concerns in Ontario communities related to opioid prescribing, dispensing and misuse. Members of the Steering Committee will present the recommendations and respond to questions.
