OTTAWA and GATINEAU, QC, Dec. 13, 2016 /CNW/ - At 4 p.m. on December 21, 2016, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) will issue its decision following the process on Basic Telecommunication Services in Canada.
Media is invited to attend a lock-up session, before the decision is issued, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the CRTC headquarters in Gatineau, Quebec. Subject matter experts will be present to give an overview of the decision and to answer questions. Please arrive no later than 2:15 p.m. in order to be in the lock-up room on time.
Jean-Pierre Blais, Chairman of the CRTC, will hold a 10-15 minute press conference following the 4:00 p.m. release of the decision. He will give a short speech and will take some questions from reporters following his remarks.
