MEDIA ADVISORY - Daily Bread launches Holiday Drive with a festive spirit

WHAT: | The annual Holiday Drive kicks off with the lighting of a 30-foot Christmas tree and carol sing at St. Andrew's United Church's 'Light to Unite' event in support of Daily Bread Food Bank. |
Daily Bread volunteers will be collecting donations and Campbell's Company of Canada will also be on hand asking people to 'make hunger disappear' by removing cans throughout the afternoon from a display of 3600 soup cans that will spell the word 'Hunger'. | |
At the main event in the evening, Daily Bread's executive director Gail Nyberg will be present to share the goals of this year's Holiday Drive, as well as how and where the public can donate nutritious non-perishable food throughout the Holiday Drive. | |
