KPMG's The Next Million magazine gives voice to entrepreneurs driving the future of Canadian business
TORONTO, Feb. 13, 2015 /CNW/ - Edmonton-based entrepreneur, Bill Knight, learned the risk of working with relatives when his business partnership with family members came to an abrupt end in 1999. Drawing from his business learnings, and what little capital he had, Knight immediately started B&B Demolition Ltd. and watched it grow into a successful business with 60 employees – including several from the Knight family – and $11 million in revenue. Knight still enjoys working with his family and wouldn't have it any other way.
B&B Demolition is one of the companies featured in KPMG Enterprise's The Next Million magazine which launches today. The Next Million, produced in conjunction with The Globe and Mail, replaces the firm's award-winning inBusiness magazine, and targets entrepreneurs and small-to-medium business owners who have earned their first million and are looking to build upon that achievement. Each issue shares the success stories of entrepreneurs and gives a voice to the leaders and creators driving the future of Canadian small business. Bill Knight – CEO of B&B Demolition – is featured in the inaugural issue, discussing B&B Demolition's growth story and how to successfully work with family.
The quarterly magazine has the tagline 'You've Made It. Now Grow It' and logo featuring the Roman numeral M with an elevated dash which represents one million and signifies the growing revenues of the targeted readers.
Issues of the 2015 publication, slated for April, June and September, will be available as an insert in The Globe and Mail and online.
