OTTAWA, April 7, 2017 /CNW/ - The Public Policy Forum is pleased to host and present the final Canada's Fundamental Science Review report on April 10, 2017, at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Dr. David Naylor, chair of the expert panel, will discuss the panel's work and report findings. On June 13, 2016, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science launched an independent review of federal funding for fundamental science. The review assessed the program machinery that is currently in place to support science and scientists in Canada; its findings will help maintain and strengthen Canada's international standing in fundamental science and ensure that our scientists have the tools, training and support needed to excel globally.
