Media Advisory - École élémentaire publique Kanata to be Officially Renamed in Honour of the Governor General Français
OTTAWA, Nov. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will visit École élémentaire publique Kanata, located at 1385 Halton Terrace in Ottawa, which will be renamed École élémentaire publique Julie-Payette in her honour. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 21, at 9:15 a.m.
Upon arrival, Her Excellency will visit the school's multi-purpose room, where students will have the opportunity to present her their robotics projects. The Governor General will then be warmly welcomed by hundreds of students and representatives from the school and school board during an official ceremony in the school gym. Her Excellency will unveil the school's new logo and then speak to students and staff.
