Media Advisory - Economic Impact of Transit Report to be Released by Canadian

WHITEHORSE, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - The Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) will be hosting a press conference on Friday, September 17 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (4:30pm Eastern) at the Transportation Museum in Whitehorse, Yukon, to release its report on the economic impact in Canada of transit investment.
The report comes in the form of a national survey and covers a number of topics, including the effect of transit investment on household operating costs, the impact of transit investment on national health care costs, and the environmental benefits of transit investment.
CUTA Executive Committee Members and Whitehorse Transit Manager Dave Muir will be on hand to deliver information and to respond to questions from the media.
