TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2014 /CNW/ - On November 6, 2014, Anthony Haines, President and CEO of Toronto Hydro, becomes the 2014 Canadian Energy Person of the Year.
Mr. Haines is the fifteenth recipient of The Energy Council of Canada's award which recognizes and pays tribute to a Canadian energy leader who has made a significant impact at national and local levels. Joining in the ceremony will be the Honourable Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Energy —as well as municipal, provincial and federal officials, and other energy leaders — as they celebrate Mr. Haines' achievements and the ongoing contributions of the women and men at the local utilities who help provide safe and reliable power each and every day.
