TORONTO, June 25, 2018 /CNW/ - On Monday, June 25, Trans Canada Trail will join Enterprise Rent-A-Car in announcing a major investment in further developing The Great Trail, Canada's national Trail. To mark its 25th anniversary in Canada, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation will provide a $250,000 gift to establish the Trans Canada Trail "Enterprise Mobility Fund," which will support accessibility projects on various sections of the Trail across Canada.
Stretching for more than 24,000 kilometres and profiling Canada's diverse landscapes and communities, The Great Trail is the world's longest network of recreational multi-use trails. The gift from Enterprise will help more Canadians connect to their communities, the environment and each other.
After the announcement, Trans Canada Trail and Enterprise representatives, community leaders and guests will walk the "Enterprise Journey," a symbolic 2.5-kilometre section of the Waterfront Trail honouring Enterprise's 25th Anniversary.
