Media Advisory - EQAO to release local results of province-wide testing and new report on student progress in schools Français
TORONTO, Sept. 11, 2012 /CNW/ - At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) will be releasing student achievement results by school and school board for the 2011-2012 Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1-3) and Junior Division (Grades 4-6), and the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics. Schools and boards will be able to speak about their individual results then. New this year, for each school in the province, EQAO will also be publishing a report that tracks the progress of students from assessment to assessment.
As in the past, EQAO will also release individual school and board reports along with two full provincial reports. The provincial reports are an elementary school report, on the results of the primary- and junior-division assessments; and a secondary school report, on the results of the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. These reports include subgroup and contextual data, a summary of findings, strategies for success and profiles of schools that are using provincial assessment results to support their own improvement planning. The profiled schools are notable for their demonstration of leadership, data-driven strategies and whole-school approaches to help every child succeed.
The reports and school, school board and provincial results will be posted on EQAO's Web site, www.eqao.com.
