Media Advisory - EQAO to Release Local Results of Provincial Assessments in Secondary Grades

TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) will be releasing student achievement results for each school and school board for the 2012-2013 Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Secondary schools and their boards will be able to speak about their results at that time. For each school in the province, EQAO will also be publishing a report that tracks the progress of students from assessment to assessment.

As in the past, EQAO will also release a full provincial report on the secondary school assessments. The provincial report includes subgroup and school contextual data, a summary of assessment findings, strategies for success and profiles of secondary schools that are using provincial assessment results to support their own improvement planning. The profiled schools are notable for their demonstration of leadership, data-driven strategies and whole-school approaches to help every child succeed.

The reports and school, school board and provincial results will be posted on EQAO's Web site, www.eqao.com.
