Media Advisory - EQAO to Release Ontario Student PISA Results, an International Mathematics, Reading and Science Assessment Français
TORONTO, Dec. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - At 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) will release an analysis of Ontario student achievement on the 2012 administration of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
PISA is an international program initiated by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and undertaken every three years to assess the achievement of 15-year-old students in mathematics, reading and science.
A total of 65 countries participated in the 2012 administration of PISA. In Canada, about 21 000 15-year-old students from 10 provinces participated, of whom 3699 were from Ontario.
Highlights of Ontario's results will be available on EQAO's Web site, www.eqao.com, as of 5:00 a.m. on December 3.
