LANGLEY-SURREY BORDER, BC, June 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Mark Warawa, Member of Parliament for Langley, B.C., representing the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, will announce the completion of the 54th Ave. Overpass, 196th St. Overpass, and 232nd St. Overpass projects under the Roberts Bank Rail Corridor (RBRC) Program and the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Transportation Infrastructure Fund.
Funding partner representatives for the three projects will also be on hand to make remarks and take questions from the media. These representatives include B.C. Education Minister and MLA for Surrey-Fleetwood Peter Fassbender; Robin Silvester, President and CEO of Port Metro Vancouver; Councillor Mary Martin on behalf of Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts; Acting Mayor Ted Schaffer of the City of Langley; and Acting Mayor Bev Dornan on behalf of Mayor Jack Froese of the Township of Langley, along with other RBRC project stakeholders.
