Media advisory - Federal correctional officers' union to release details of tentative agreement at 5 pm EST

MONTREAL, Aug. 16, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - An embargo demanded by the Treasury Board of Canada on the agreement-in-principle reached July 23 with the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO-SACC-CSN) expires at 5 pm Eastern time today. At that time, UCCO-SACC-CSN will issue a press release detailing the highlights of the agreement, which has yet to be ratified by the union's 7,500 members working at 52 federal penitentiaries across Canada. Union spokespersons will be available for comment at that time and throughout the weekend.
