LAVAL, QC, Sept. 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ville de Laval invites the media to the 13th edition of the Fête de la famille, taking place on Sunday, September 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Centre de la nature, 901 Avenue du Parc, Laval. Gilles Vaillancourt, Laval's mayor, will be on site from noon to 2:30p.m.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Centre de la nature de Laval will be hosting the 13th edition of the Fête de la famille. Among the activities offered this year, the Laurentian Bank stage will welcome characters from Télé-Québec's youth programming, including from Génial!, Tactik and 1,2,3…Géant. The playing field will host a number of activities that will please everyone, such as the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie "vehicube", large-scale inflatable games, scientific activities and a mega-corn roast. The little ones will marvel at the "Naître et grandir" Village thanks to the presence of Ari Cui Cui and Henri Godon, dress-up costumes, a puppet theatre, and more! In addition, there will be a number of activities that have already been a hit at this event, including a traverse, medieval tournament and exotic animals.
All activities are free and parking at the Centre de la nature will also be free of charge for Laval residents who show their Avantages Laval card. Families are encouraged to use public transit and take advantage of the weekend family rate offered by the Société de transport de Laval. To get to the Centre de la nature, one fare-paying adult may be accompanied by up to five children aged 11 or under free of charge. In addition, the STL will be providing free shuttle service in the Centre de la nature sector to access the site. Why not take advantage of it?
