Media Advisory - Film industry to frame impact of HST on their sector
VANCOUVER, Aug. 4 /CNW/ - Members of the BC film industry will join the Smart Tax Alliance in talking about the impact the HST is having on their businesses just one month after the tax came into effect. British Columbia is North America's third busiest filming location.
WHO: Peter Leitch, chair of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia, and president of North Shore Studios and Mammoth Studios, to talk about impacts of the HST in BC's film and TV industry.
Jock Finlayson, spokesman for the Smart Tax Alliance and Executive Vice President, Business Council of British Columbia, to show how the HST is making a difference in the BC economy.
