VANCOUVER, March 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada's financial literacy leader, Jane Rooney, will be a keynote speaker at a Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) special volunteer appreciation and awareness reception in Vancouver.
The evening will focus on CPA Canada's Community Connect member volunteer program which has attracted 11,000 professional accountants from across the country to lead free financial education sessions. The award-winning program assists Canadians in gaining the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to make the best financial choices based on their individual circumstances.
Both CPA Canada and Rooney firmly believe that fostering financial literacy today positions the country for a better tomorrow.
