Media Advisory - Fiscal prospects for provincial and territorial Governments -- Conference Board media availability

OTTAWA, Aug. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - The Conference Board of Canada is available to speak to the media on the findings of its report A Difficult Road Ahead: Canada's Economic and Fiscal Prospects. This report, commissioned by the Council of the Federation Secretariat, was issued today at the 55th Annual Premier's Conference.

The analysis assesses the outlook for overall provincial and territorial budgets through 2035 by assessing the impact of lower economic potential growth, an aging population and rising demand for health care services. The analysis also outlines three budgetary scenarios based on recent trends.
