Media Advisory - Flood Protection Public Information Session
Re: Media are invited to attend the Broadview and Eastern Flood Protection Public Information Centre
TORONTO, Dec. 5, 2018 /CNW/ - Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), in conjunction with Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto as co-proponents, is seeking to identify a flood protection solution that will eliminate the risk of flooding currently posed to a parcel of land just east of the Don River and south of Eastern Avenue.
This study will build on the outcomes of the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project, and the Port Lands and South of Eastern Transportation and Servicing Master Plan, to address eight hectares of urban land that remain at risk to flooding.
A Public Information Centre is being held to offer information about this project to members of the public, receive comments and answer questions.
