Media Advisory - For Halloween, children share their first experience as global citizens, fundraising with UNICEF Canada
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - Students at Broadlands Public School are inviting the media to join them this Halloween, Wednesday October 31, recognizing National UNICEF Day in support of children around the world. As Canadian children are planning for a full day of Halloween celebrations, many other children around the world are wondering where their next meal will come from, or when they will be able to return to school. Hundreds of Canadian children have decided to step up and do something about it. What does a Canadian child's first philanthropic experience look like? What emergency funding priorities did this Public School classes agree on? Come discover a new side of Halloween re-looking at a wonderful tradition with UNICEF and the children at Broadlands PS.

- Bayan Yammout can speak about why especially at Halloween, supporting National UNICEF Day is important given her personal connection to UNICEF as a child, and to her students; how she is introducing philanthropy in the classroom and why it's important to start introducing experiences as global citizens early.
