MEDIA ADVISORY - Former PM Paul Martin to visit the Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto on Feb. 13
TORONTO, Feb. 12, 2013 /CNW/ - Former Prime Minister the Hon. Paul Martin will tour the Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto (NWRCT) on Wed. Feb. 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
"Mr. Martin has been an advocate and champion of Aboriginal youth with his education and entrepreneurship initiatives," said NWRCT President, Laure Fournier. "We are excited to welcome him and introduce Mr. Martin to the Centre's social enterprise study, our literacy and volunteer programs, and the Investing in Women's Futures Program."
The Centre's staff, board members, and youth volunteers will be in attendance to welcome Mr. Martin. He will have the opportunity to meet the people that make the Centre an essential cornerstone of the Aboriginal and Toronto communities.
Throughout his business and political careers, Mr. Martin has been devoted to the cause of Canada's Inuit peoples, First Nations and the Métis nation.
