Media Advisory - From Federal Fleet Services - New Navy Support Ship MV ASTERIX Arrives in Victoria, B.C. Français
VICTORIA, Dec. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Spencer Fraser, Chief Executive Officer of Federal Fleet Services, invites media to board the MV ASTERIX which is visiting Victoria as part of its successful first year in service.
The MV ASTERIX is a Naval Support Ship leased to the Royal Canadian Navy and provides the fleet with fuel, cargo, ammunition, a floating hospital, a platform for two helicopters and quarters for humanitarian and rescue operations. It was delivered on time and on budget.
Interviews: Mr. Fraser will be available for interviews on-site after the tour or in studio from December 17-19.
Ship Arrival: MV Asterix will arrive at the Victoria pilotage station Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Media will have access to the ship the same day:
