TORONTO, May 20, 2015 /CNW/ - The George Brown College Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts is pleased to host two of North America's most-respected chefs—Corey Lee and David Chang—on May 27, 2015. In celebration of the publication of Chef Lee's first book, Benu, the pair will participate in an engaging discussion about their career paths, inspirations, creative approaches to cuisine, and their thoughts on today's global culinary scene. The event is a rare opportunity to see these two close friends and culinary contemporaries in one room together.
Following the discussion, there will be a reception catered by David Chang's Momofuku Toronto, and Corey Lee will sign copies of his new cookbook, Benu (Phaidon, www.phaidon.com/benu ). The cookbook is a tribute to the dining experience at Lee's three Michelin starred San Francisco restaurant, Benu, and is presented in the format of a 32-course tasting menu. Throughout the pages and various courses, Lee's insightful text guides the reader through every aspect of his cuisine, inspirations, ingredients and techniques.
