EDMONTON , Sept. 16 /CNW/ - The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation will present Courage Awards to six former Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital patients who exhibited extraordinary courage on their rehabilitation journeys.

A man who will walk on stage again, a young lady who is back on the biathlon course, a little girl with amazing will and skill, an advocate for the prevention of bullying, an inspiring centenarian and a university student who has truly defied the odds - meet them all and celebrate their determination.

The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation is exactly that - a foundation on which to build hope, opportunity and independence for people who experience life-altering events through illness, injury or at birth. All funds raised are used to support capital projects, conduct research, purchase new equipment and enhance patient care. Currently we are building THE COURAGE CENTRE - a hub for new rehabilitation equipment and technology at the Glenrose.
