Media Advisory - Government of Canada to Announce Investment in Research-Industry Genomics Projects

WALLENSTEIN, ON, Oct. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Ed Holder, Minister of State (Science and Technology), will make an important announcement related to applied genomics solutions to industry challenges. Minister Holder will be joined by Lorne Hepworth, Chair of Genome Canada.

Also present at the announcement will be, among others:

• Gary Schellenberger, MP for Perth-Wellington
• Dr. Pierre Meulien, President and CEO of Genome Canada

Prior to the announcement, dignitaries and media are invited on a tour of Wallenstein's Feed and Supply Ltd. animal feed production facilities for photo opportunities. Media interviews can be arranged following the announcement.
