OTTAWA, Nov. 24, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will make a funding announcement to help young scientists and engineers transition from the lab to today's highly-skilled work force. The Minister will be joined by Dr. Pierre Charest, Vice President, Research Grants and Scholarship at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
The national announcement will take place during Minister Hehr's keynote address to students and community partners as part of a networking symposium on accessibility challenges and opportunities. Following the announcement, Minister Hehr will attend a robotic demonstration and will be available for questions from the media.
Media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.
