MEDIA ADVISORY - Government of Canada to announce partnership with the Red
Cross for international disaster response

OTTAWA, Nov. 24 /CNW/ - The Canadian Red Cross and Government of Canada will announce an important initiative that will increase the Red Cross' ability to prepare for and respond to disasters internationally. Media are invited to attend the announcement.

What:	Canadian Red Cross and Government of Canada press conference, tour of Red Cross field hospital, opportunity to film/observe portion of Red Cross field training.
Who:	The Honourable Beverly J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation and the secretary general of the Canadian Red Cross, Conrad Sauvé, will speak at the press conference. Canadian Red Cross spokespeople will be available for interviews.
