FORT SASKATCHEWAN, AB, March 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Mr. Leon Benoit, Member of Parliament for Vegreville-Wainwright, with representatives from American Prairie Foundation, will celebrate the transfer of up to 82 plains bison from Elk Island National Park, Alberta, to American Prairie Reserve, on the Great Plains north of the Missouri River in northeastern Montana (U.S.A).
Mr. Benoit will take part in this media opportunity and make an announcement on behalf of the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Canada's Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada.

Interviews and photo opportunities will take place outdoors at Elk Island's Plains Bison Handling Facility area. Parking is available at the Facility and at Elk Island National Park Visitor Centre. Allow approximately ten minutes to walk from the Visitor Centre. An attendant will be onsite to provide directions.
