Media Advisory - Government of Canada to dedicate new Visitor Welcome Centre on Parliament Hill Français
GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 27, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, on behalf of the Government of Canada, will host a ceremonial cornerstone laying by His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, at the Visitor Welcome Centre, the first building being built on Parliament Hill in over a century. The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, and other dignitaries will join the Governor General and the Minister for this event.

Important information
The event will be held on an active construction site. Expect to descend and climb stairs. Long pants and sleeves to cover the shoulders are required for health and safety reasons. Personal protective equipment will not be required, as the visit will be limited to a single location.
