MONTRÉAL, Nov. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will participate in an armchair discussion with Elyse Allan, President and CEO of General Electric Canada, about the role of diversity and equity in science.
This is the first time the Gender Summit, which brings together scientists, gender scholars and policy-makers aiming to make gender equality in research and innovation the norm, is being held in Canada. It will provide an opportunity for the Government of Canada to highlight the importance of gender equality and diversity in science on an international stage.
