OTTAWA, Nov. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Orléans, will join His Excellency Hee-yong Cho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea for Canada, for a special ceremony to pay tribute to Canadian men and women who served in the Korean War.
The National Capital Unit of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada (KVA) is holding this commemorative ceremony in Ottawa at the same time as the Remembrance Day ceremony at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Republic of Korea.
This year marks the 59th anniversary of the Armistice of the Korean War.
