Media Advisory - Governor General to Celebrate Canada's Top Social Sciences and Humanities Researchers Français
OTTAWA, Oct. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will present the 2018 Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Impact Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Wednesday, October, 3, 2018, at 6 p.m.
The annual SSHRC Impact Awards recognize the highest achievements in social sciences and humanities research, knowledge mobilization and scholarship supported by SSHRC. The following awards will be presented during the ceremony:
- Gold Medal
- Talent Award
- Insight Award
- Connection Award
- Partnership Award
The ceremony will also showcase June's Final Five winners of SSHRC's annual Storytellers competition, who were selected from among the Top 25 finalists in a national challenge to find innovative ways to communicate the impact of social sciences and humanities research.
