OTTAWA, Oct. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will deliver a keynote address at the City of Ottawa's Education and the Economy Summit, on Friday, October 21, 2016, at 8:45 a.m., at Andrew S. Haydon Hall, City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa.
On this occasion, the Governor General will discuss the benefits of strengthening relationships between various sectors to improve the city's economy. As a former university president, His Excellency will offer insight on forging connections between communities, employers and students.
About the City of Ottawa's Education and the Economy Summit
The summit aims to promote greater multi-sector collaboration by bringing together local school boards, post-secondary institutions, government and private sector partners, NGOs and students. The forum will also seek to generate advice on how the different players from across the city can work together to create employment and start-up opportunities for students and, ultimately, a stronger, more diversified economy.
