Media Advisory - Governor General to Deliver Opening Address at the Senate Symposium on the 150th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation Français
OTTAWA, May 24, 2017 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will be the keynote speaker at the Senate Symposium on the 150th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation. The event will take place inside the Senate Chamber, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 9 a.m.
His Excellency will address participants at the opening of the event. This two-day symposium (May 25-26) will be hosted by the Honourable George J. Furey, Speaker of the Senate; the Honourable Serge Joyal, Senator and Symposium Coordinator, and the Honourable Judith Seidman, Senator and Advisor.
