Media Advisory - Governor General to Deliver Remarks at the 2016 Canadian Association of Physicists Recognition Gala Français
OTTAWA, June 14, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will attend the Canadian Association of Physicists 2016 Annual Congress Special Recognition Gala on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 7 p.m., at the Shaw Centre, in Ottawa. The event recognizes excellence and innovation in physics and physics education in Canada. The work of the award winners has been recognized nationally and internationally to better define the physical composition of our material world, energy systems and the universe.
The Governor General will deliver remarks on this occasion. Nobel laureate Dr. Arthur McDonald will present the awards and give a short talk on his experiences since being awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.
