OTTAWA, Nov. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present the Governor General's Academic All-Canadian Commendation for the 2015-2016 season to eight recipients during a ceremony at Rideau Hall on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 11 a.m.
The Governor General's Academic All-Canadian Commendation recognizes student-athletes who have maintained an average of 80 per cent or higher over the academic year while playing on one or more of their university's varsity teams. These Top Eight Academic All-Canadians are selected by U Sports, formerly known as Canadian Interuniversity Sport, and its four regional associations.
Below is the list of the eight 2015-2016 recipients:

Canada West Universities Athletics Association (CWUAA)
Rebecca Terejko – University of British Columbia – Swimming – Kinesiology
Chad Bush – University of British Columbia – Soccer – History
