Media Advisory - Governor General to Meet with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees at Rideau Hall

OTTAWA, March 20, 2016 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will meet with His Excellency Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, at Rideau Hall, on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10 a.m.

On December 1, 2015, the Governor General hosted a forum on welcoming Syrian refugees to Canada at Rideau Hall. The event highlighted Canada's diversity‎, inclusion and volunteerism efforts to prepare for the arrival of Syrian refugees.

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of the meeting. Media representatives are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event taking place.
