Media Advisory - Governor General to Meet with United Nations Secretary-General at Rideau Hall

OTTAWA, Feb. 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will meet with His Excellency Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary-General, and Mrs. Ban Soon-taek at Rideau Hall, on Friday, February 12, 2016, at 8:30 a.m.

"I will have the pleasure of welcoming His Excellency Ban Ki-moon to Rideau Hall on the occasion of his visit to Canada from February 11 to 13. During our meeting, we will have the opportunity to discuss Canada's long tradition of international collaboration, as well as its involvement in the United Nations," said the Governor General.

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of the meeting. Media representatives must be accredited beforehand by the Parliamentary Press Gallery and confirm their attendance with the Rideau Hall Press Office.
