Media Advisory - Governor General to Meet with Wildfires Evacuees in Saskatchewan

OTTAWA, July 8, 2015 /CNW/ - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will be in Regina on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, to show their support for those affected by Saskatchewan's wildfires. Their Excellencies will be joined by Her Honour the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield, Lieutenant-Governor of Saskatchewan.

At 4:15 p.m. (Central Standard Time – UTC/GMT -6 hours), they will visit an evacuee centre (Evraz Place, 1700 Elphinstone St.) to see first-hand the relief efforts put into place by first responders and volunteers.
