Media Advisory - Governor General to Receive an Honorary Degree from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston Français
OTTAWA, May 13, 2015 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will receive a Doctor of Laws honoris causa from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC), in Kingston, Ontario. The event will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
Upon his arrival at 11 a.m., the Governor General will inspect a guard of honour composed of 100 officer cadets on the parade square. Following the presentation of his honorary degree, His Excellency will deliver the convocation address to graduating officer cadets, as well as master's and doctoral degree recipients, at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre Field House, at approximately 1:30 p.m.
