Media Advisory - Great Photo Op - Strikers Take Fight To Tony Clement: 'Do
Your Job or Resign!'
United Steelworkers (USW) will converge on Clement's Parry Sound office, calling on the Minister to stop acting as "the Grim Reaper who presides over job-killing and gutting our communities." The USW represents 3,500 working families who have been on strike for four months against Vale Inco's attacks on their pensions, incomes and working conditions.
Photo Op: Giant "Tony the Grim Reaper" puppet from Clement's "Vale of Death." (In August, Clement infamously and erroneously claimed Sudbury would be a "valley of death" without Vale's takeover of Inco Ltd.)
