OTTAWA, Aug. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Dominique Anglade, Quebec Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation and Minister responsible for the Digital Strategy, along with the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Canada's Minister of International Trade and Member of Parliament for St-Maurice–Champlain, as well as Denis Lemieux, Member of Parliament for Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, will announce the first projects approved under the Government of Canada's Connect to Innovate program as well as projects funded under Québec branché (French only). These programs support projects that provide Canadians living in rural and remote communities with access to high-speed Internet service.
